The bust is made of granite, with a height of 134 cm. The pedestal of the monument is constructed from reinforced concrete and covered with light-colored ceramic tiles, with a height of 1.68 m (dimensions: 1.53 m x 0.81 m). The stepped concrete foundation, which is 0.56 m high, is also covered with ceramic tiles. On a granite plaque measuring 0.4 m x 0.6 m, there is an inscription that reads "Hero of the Soviet Union Zakariya Belibaev 09.05.1917 - 05.06.1982". In the upper left corner of the plaque, there is an image of the "Golden Star" medal.
Historical data
Zakariya Belibaev (1917-1982) was born in Karauyl village, Abai district, East Kazakhstan Region. He participated in battles in several fronts during the Great Patriotic War. Zakariya Belibaev was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for the battle near the Dnieper River at the end of September 1943. On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Hero of the Soviet Union and in honor of the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory, Dálnyaya Street in Semey was renamed Zakariya Belibaev Street. The author of the monument is Omirtaev Ardak.
