“Asyl Mura”: the craftsmanship of regional artisans came together in one place

On March 16, in accordance with the plan of events within the framework of the nationwide decade “Nauryznama”, with the support of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archival Affairs of the Abai Region and organized by the Regional Center of Culture and Folk Art, the national artisans’ fair “Asyl Mura” was held at the ASIMA shopping center in the city of Semey.

Handicrafts passed down from generation to generation are an integral part of the spiritual wealth of our people. The main purpose of the event, organized on the occasion of March 16 – the Day of Culture and National Traditions, was to present the unique works of regional artisans to the public, popularize national art, and support the work of craftsmen.

During the fair, visitors were presented with jewelry in national style, felt products, examples of wood carving, national clothing, as well as other original works by artisans. Each item exhibited attracted public interest as a unique work reflecting the traditional culture and aesthetic taste of the Kazakh people.

In addition, within the framework of the event, a small concert program was presented, and an informative question-and-answer session dedicated to Kazakh traditions was organized. Special prizes were awarded to audience members who gave correct answers.
