Tokey Nurlan Tokeyuly is the chief conductor of the Kazakh folk instruments orchestra "Bibigul", an outstanding figure in the cultural sphere of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is the only person who successfully combines active organizational work in the civil service with intensive creative activity. In 2000-2002, he was the head of the folklore ensemble at the Semey City Officers' House, in 2006-2007, he was the head of the folklore ensemble of the Semey State Philharmonic, and in 2007-2010, he became widely known as the conductor of the "Bibigul" Kazakh folk instruments orchestra of the Semey State Philharmonic.

Since September 2010, he has been the conductor of the Kazakh folk instruments orchestra of the East Kazakhstan Regional State Philharmonic in Ust-Kamenogorsk, and from February 2012 to June 2014, he was the chief conductor and artistic director of the aforementioned orchestra.

Since August 2014, he has been continuing his work as a chief conductor in the Bibigul Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra in Semey.

Nurlan Tokeyuly graduated from the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory with a degree in teacher (bass kobyz) and solo performer. During his creative career, he has arranged more than 50 works and songs for the Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra, and held his solo concerts at a very high professional level in Semey in 2009, 2010, 2014, and in Ust-Kamenogorsk in 2012-2013.

In May 2011, he won the 3rd prize at the M. Tolebayev Republican Conductors Competition held in Taldykorgan. T.N. Tokeyuly, distinguished by his creative inquisitiveness and great diligence, is a wise man and teacher who tirelessly passes on his vast performing experience to young artists.

As the chief conductor of the Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra of the East Kazakhstan Regional State Philharmonic in Ust-Kamenogorsk and the chief conductor of the Bibigul Folk Instruments Orchestra of the Semey State Philharmonic named after A. Kashaubayev, he regularly participates in concerts held in the region and the city, and is sincerely appreciated by the audience. As the artistic director of the orchestra, he makes a lot of efforts to increase the professional level of the creative team.
