Klara Tolenbaeva was born in 1976 in the current East Kazakhstan region, Aksuat district.

Education:

In 1996, she graduated from the M. Auezov Pedagogical College in Semey,

and in 2001, she graduated from the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.

Main activity / direction:

Klara Tolenbaeva is a renowned traditional singer and performer, promoting singing with the syrnai. She has contributed to introducing traditional music to the public and widely showcases the singing schools of various regions (Arka, Zhetysu, Syr, West Kazakhstan) in her repertoire.

Achievements, titles:

— 1998 – Diploma winner of the J. Elebekov Republican Singers Competition.

— 2000 – Laureate of the "Shabyt" International Festival.

— 2001 – Grand Prix winner of the Maira Ualikyzy International Singers Competition.

Klara Tolenbaeva is a singer of the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan and teaches at the Kazakh National University of Arts, while continuing her creative work as a promoter of traditional singing art.
