Beloslyudov Viktor Nikolaevich

Beloslyudov Viktor Nikolaevich. 1883-1916

Painter, graphic artist, illustrator, local historian, archaeologist, ethnographer, collector, poet. Born in Semey. Graduated from the Stroganov Central Art and Industry School (1899-1905).

Mentors: S.V. Ivanov, I.A. Andreev, K.K. Pervukhin. While studying in Moscow, he participated in the enlargement of V.M. Vasnetsov's painting "The Victorious George," which was intended for the decoration of the Tretyakov Gallery's façade. He took part in the decoration of the Chudov Monastery at the invitation of the artist K.P. Stepanov, working alongside S.V. Ivanov. Since 1906, he has been the organizer and participant of exhibitions held in the city of Semey. Participant in the exhibitions of the TKAQ in 1911 and 1915. Together with his brothers, he opened a private "Museum of the Beloslyudov Brothers." A scientific employee of the Academy of Sciences, L.A. Kulik referred to this museum as the "treasure" among the regional museums of the country. In 1917, a scholarship named after V. Beloslyudov was established at the 1st Higher Primary School in Semey. In November of that year, meetings were held in memory of V. Beloslyudov by three societies: the Society for the Care of Primary Education, the Geographical Division, and the Drama Society.

V. Beloslyudov's paintings are preserved in the Admaty Scientific Library, the Tomsk Art Museum, the Vladivostok Local History Museum, and the Historical and Local History Museum of Semey.
