Makarov Gumar Eskendiruly. 1951
Painter, teacher. Born in the city of Zaisan, East Kazakhstan region. Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Graphics of the Abai Kazakh State Pedagogical Institute in Almaty (1968-1972). Since 1972, he has worked at Shakarim State University (formerly the N.K. Krupskaya Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute). Professor.
Member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan (since 2000). Laureate of the "Kazakhstan-2000 Master Class" international art festival; diploma holder of the international Art Symposium of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, Almaty (2010). Awarded the "Excellence in Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" badge. Since 1972, he has participated in city, regional, republican, and international exhibitions, including: the report exhibition of Semipalatinsk artists at the regional exhibition hall, Semey; the republican exhibition of works by professors and teachers of the faculties of fine arts and graphics of Kazakh pedagogical institutes, Oral, 1983, Shymkent, 1985, Almaty, 1990; the republican exhibition of works by Kazakh artists at the central exhibition hall of the Union of Artists, Almaty, 1985; the "My Kazakhstan" exhibition-competition dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, Semey, 2006; the exhibition of works by Semey city artists titled "My Homeland," 2012; the I, II, III exhibition-competitions of works by Semey city artists dedicated to Kazakhstan's Independence Day, 2013-2015; an exhibition within the framework of the "Travel-Journey" international art exhibition project, Omsk, 2015, and others. There have been several solo exhibitions held in Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Almaty, and Astana. His works are preserved in art museums and private collections in Kazakhstan, Israel, the USA, Germany, Turkey, and Russia.
