Makhnо Oleksandr Stepanovych. 1963-2024

Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Semey Pedagogical Institute named after N.K. Krupskaya (1986) and the Lviv Academy of Arts (1989-1996). Lives and works in the city of Semey. Since 1991, he has participated in city, regional, republican, and international exhibitions. Among them: the Mini Biennale of Graphics (Uluftström, Sweden, 1995), "Gallery Parade" (at the State Museum of Arts named after Kasteev, Almaty, 1998), the exhibition "Empire during the Plague" (Voyager Gallery, Almaty, 1999), the exhibition-competition "Football Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" dedicated to Kazakhstan's entry into UEFA, Almaty, 2000; the exhibition "M.M.M. (Makhno, Meldibekov, Maslov)" (Voyager Gallery, Almaty, 2001), the exhibition-competition "My Kazakhstan" dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Museum of Fine Arts named after Nezvoryov, Semey, 2006), the international art project "Flying Tatar" (Museum of Fine Arts named after Nezvoryov, Semey, 2006), the exhibition of works by artists of Semey "My Homeland" (Museum of Fine Arts named after Nezvoryov, Semey, 2012); the exhibition "Journey-Travel" held within the framework of an international exhibition project (Omsk, 2015), etc. Solo exhibitions: "Playing Classics, or Postmodernism," Almaty, 2005; "Steppe-Field-Steppe" (at the Museum of Fine Arts named after Nezvoryov, Semey, 2010), "Pioneer Era," (at the Arteast Art Gallery, Almaty, 2011), "Tribute to the Poet" dedicated to the 200th anniversary of T. Shevchenko (Ust-Kamenogorsk, 2014). Founder of the "SAC" - Semey-ART group (in collaboration with E. Makhno and T. Tatiev) participating in international projects and exhibitions held in Kazakhstan and neighboring countries (1997). His works are preserved in museums and private collections.
