Schmidt Viktor Fyodorovich. 1960 Born in Semey. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Graphics of the N.K. Krupskaya Semey Pedagogical Institute (1983). Worked as a guide at the Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nezov family and as an artist at the Regional Historical and Local Lore Museum. For many years, he was the chief artist at the F.M. Dostoevsky Regional Drama Theater in Semey. Since 1986, he has participated in city, regional, republican, and international exhibitions. Among them: the reporting "Autumn Salon" exhibitions of Semey artists (Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nezov family, Semey, 2002, 2003); the exhibition of theater artists from Semey (Exhibition Hall, Semey, 1990); the first avant-garde exhibition in Semey (Exhibition Hall, Semey, 1994); "I Live Today" (Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nezov family, Semey, 1994); the "Tengri–Umai" international art festival (Almaty, 2002); the "Flying Tatar" international art project (Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nezov family, Semey, 2006); the "My Kazakhstan" exhibition-competition dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence (Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nezov family, Semey, 2006); the "Plein-air – 2010" international plein air exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nezov family (2010); the "Dedication to Dostoevsky" international art project (Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nezov family, Semey, 2011); the art project "The Nezov family museum opens its doors to the working person" (Semey, 2013); the I, III, IV, V exhibition-competitions of Semey artists dedicated to the Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nezov family, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2021); the "Eurasia-Art" international exhibition (Omsk, 2014); the "Great Silk Road" X international art symposium (Elabuga, 2015); the exhibition within the framework of the international exhibition project "Journey" (Omsk, 2015); the exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of F.M. Winner of the "Avant-garde of Kazakhstan Germans – 2023" competition held as part of the "Wir sind zusammen" festival. Awarded the commemorative medal "90th Anniversary of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan."
