Roza Baydalina Olzhaikyzy

Roza Baydalina Olzhaikyzy (1936-2012) – singer of the Amre Kashaubayev State Philharmonic, Cultural Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan.


Roza Baydalina Olzhaikyzy was born in 1936 in Semey. She graduated from the Semey Pedagogical College and devoted her career to singing from the age of 18. In 1961, she graduated from the singing department of the music college and began her career as a singer at the regional Amre Kashaubayev Philharmonic in the same year.


In 1969, she received the title of laureate at the Republican competition of pop artists. For 40 years now, she has been making her own contribution to the development of the culture of Kazakhstan with her art. She learns musical works that she likes by sheet music and adds them to her repertoire. For many years, she led a lecture group and gave lectures and concerts on various important topics.


The singer's repertoire is wide and diverse. Along with mastering the works of world classics, Russian and CIS composers, she also performs Kazakh folk songs with ease. For example, she skillfully performed romances by Russian classics Dorgomyzhsky, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov. She sang songs and romances by foreign composers S. Mukhamedzhanov, M. Tolebayev, T. Bazarbayev, N. Tlendiev. The singer, veteran of labor, who devoted her entire life to the art of singing, toured all over our republic.
