Born in 1969 in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. Graduated from the Leningrad Higher Military-Political School. After graduating from the school, he was assigned to the command of the military unit 07124 in Tashkent. He held various positions in the system of educational and social-legal work of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 22 years. Retired Lieutenant Colonel.

From 2000 to 2007, S. S. Sarsekov was a correspondent for Russia's famous "Football" weekly, the oldest publication that has been published since May 1960, where his materials on Kazakhstani football were published under the "near abroad" section.

S. S. Sarsekov has been engaged in sports journalism for about three decades.
