Gulnara Nurgazykyzy Aktaeva was born on December 14, 1958 in the city of Shar, Semipalatinsk region. In 1981, she graduated from the Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute named after N. K. Krupskaya with a degree in "Russian language and literature, pedagogy". The education she received at the university became a solid foundation for her professional development, responsible approach to work, and the formation of a high professional culture.
She began her career in 1984 as an inspector of the control group of the regional center for the calculation and payment of pensions and benefits. During this work, she gained extensive experience in working with documents, people, and regulatory materials.
Since 1987, her professional activity has been closely related to the library industry. Over the years, she worked as a librarian at the Semipalatinsk State Medical Academy, the M. O. Auezov University, and the city children's and youth library. She also worked as a highly qualified specialist in the economics department and the book collection storage department of the Abai regional library. During her many years of work, she has fully mastered all the main areas of reader service, organization and preservation of funds, analytical and library processes.
Gulnara Nurgazykyzy approached her work with great responsibility, was distinguished by her diligence, exactingness, principledness and attentive attitude to readers and colleagues.
During her work, she paid special attention to promoting reading, forming a reading culture of the younger generation, organizing spiritual, cultural and educational events.
She has received several awards and letters of gratitude for her many years of dedicated work. In 2016, she was awarded the “Veteran of Library Business” badge for her significant contribution to the development of the library industry.
Having reached retirement age, she took a leave of absence, made a significant contribution to the development of library business, leaving a bright mark behind.
