Writer-dramatist, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, holder of the President's "Golden Leopard" badge, laureate of the "Alash" prize, honorary citizen of Semey city and Abai district, honorary journalist of Kazakhstan, honorary professor of Shakarim University in Semey.
Daulet Seisenuly was born on February 28, 1949, in the village of Sarzhal, Abai district, Semey region. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Kazakh State University in Almaty in 1971. He worked at the regional newspaper "Semey Tany" and at the regional party committee. Since 1983, he has been a correspondent for the republican newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan" in the Semey region. Over the years, he has also worked at the magazine "Akiqat," the interregional "Zaman Kazakhstan," and in the regional administration. He has served successfully for more than twenty years as a correspondent for "Egemen Kazakhstan" in the Semey region.
He is the author of the short story collection "Stars Do Not Extinguish," and the documentary books "How Many Kazakhs Are There," "Semey Land, Semey Region," and "Genealogical Shyngystau." In 2007, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the great poet Shakarim, his biographical book titled "Shakarim" was published as part of the "Nartulga" series. The collection "Genealogical Shyngystau" presents stories, poems, and essays written in recent years about the history of the region where figures like Abai, Shakarim, and Mukhtar were born. The book "Nuclear Test Area" narrates the sorrowful history of the Abyraly and Kainar regions and the positive developments in the twenty years since the closure of the Semey nuclear test site. The documentary book "Nuclear Test Area" was honored with a letter of gratitude from the President and the "Golden Leopard" badge.
In recent years, the writer's book "The Unique and Glorious Children of Shyngystau," and the dramatic works "Zhanibek Sings..." and "Waltz King" have been published. His plays tell the story of the famous violinist Aitkesh Tolganbaev, who went through various fates, and the well-known composer Beken Jamakaev, known as the "Waltz King." Today, his articles on topics related to the country and land, great figures, and the test site are frequently published in periodicals. He is currently an active member of the board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan and a member of the documentary prose section of the union.
With his works honoring great figures, he has been named an honorary professor at Shakarim State University in Semey and has been awarded the Abai and Auezov medals. His documentary books have received the award from the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan twice and the regional governor's prize three times. He is an honorary citizen of Semey city and Abai district, and an honorary journalist of Kazakhstan. In 2003, he became a laureate of the regional governor's prize in the field of journalism. In 2023, Daulet Seisenuly was awarded the International "Alash" prize for his documentary book "Er Kazakh" as part of the Literary Year results organized by the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan. In 2024, as part of the "Abai Zholy" library project implemented with the support of the governor of Abai region, his artistic essays, educational literary miniatures, and dramatic works titled "High-Flying Figures" were published.
