Kasymova Gulnar Toleuovna, born March 19, 1956, Kazakh. After graduating from the Moscow State Historical and Archival Institute with a degree in documental studies, she was sent to work at the State Archive of the Semipalatinsk region, the organizer of administrative services of state institutions, where she worked since 1978 as an archivist of the economic accounting department, head of the scientific and reference apparatus and document use department, senior methodologist of the regional state archive, director of the Semipalatinsk regional state archive; from September 29, 1989 - head of the archive department of the Semipalatinsk regional executive committee; from March 14, 1992 - head of the Semipalatinsk regional archives and documentation department; from June 30, 1997 - director of the State Educational Institution "Center for Documentation of the Modern History of the East Kazakhstan Region".
G.T. Kasymova manages the production, administrative-economic and financial-economic activities of the State Administrative Organization of the East Kazakhstan Region "KZTKO", assumes full responsibility for ensuring the preservation and effective use of documents of the National Archive, carries out constant and direct work with documents created in different historical periods, on various media - audiovisual, film and photo funds, state authorities and state administration bodies, including documents of a confidential nature; She managed the work of the center with confidential and top-secret documents containing state and official secrets.
G.T. Kasymova has proven herself as a skillful organizer of archival work over the years. Under her direct leadership, a network of district archives of the Semipalatinsk region was created on the basis of documents of the Semipalatinsk regional state archive, a real system of documentation services and departmental archives of all organizational and legal entities of the Semipalatinsk region was formed, which is still effectively functioning today.
G.T. Kasymova organizes the use of documents of the National Archive Fund to meet the needs of the state, society and citizens: the center annually fulfills more than 7,000 socio-legal requests.
G.T. Kasymova pays much attention to the training of qualified archival personnel, being the head of the industrial practice of students of city colleges and higher educational institutions - service college, humanitarian law college, university. Shakarim, a member of the state examination commission of the Kazakh Innovative Humanitarian Law Institute (Kaz.IGZI), service college, trains specialists in the field of administrative and departmental archives.
G.T. Kasymova organizes and coordinates scientific research work. Under the leadership of the State Educational Institution "Center for Documentation of Contemporary History" of the East Kazakhstan region, the state program "Cultural Heritage" was implemented (2004-2006). G.T. Kasymova was directly involved in the identification of documents on the history of East Kazakhstan in the archives of neighboring countries. Under the leadership of G.T. Kasymova, the KZTKO State Archive is developing contacts with other archival institutions of Kazakhstan - the Archives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central State Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the regional archives of the republic, as well as with historians-scientists of the East Kazakhstan region, specialists of the Institute of History of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The result of the contacts is the promotion of archival documents at scientific conferences of various levels and participation in joint publication of a collection of documents.
G.T. Kasymova is actively introducing innovative methods of archival service.
Within the framework of the "Electronic Archive" program of the KZTKO State Archive, digitization of the most valuable documents stored in the archive is carried out in order to create an insurance fund and a working fund with wide access to researchers.
An independent website of the KZTKO State Archive of the East Kazakhstan region has been created, which reflects all aspects of archival activities and provides direct communication with Internet users, provides prompt information on the fulfillment of social and legal requests and access to archival documents on regional history.

In 2005, G.T. Kasymova was awarded the medal "For Meritorious Labor", in 2009, the badge "Cultural Worker" of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and was also awarded the badge "Excellence in the Archival Field".
