Suleimenova Marzhan Sembaykyzy has been working at the Center for Documentation of Modern History since February 1, 1995 as a keeper of funds, senior keeper of funds, senior archivist of the Department of the National Academy of Sciences and Documents, since December 2013 - head of the Department of Fulfillment of Requests of a Social and Legal Nature, since January 2023 - head of the Department of Ensuring the Preservation of State Records and Documents.

Suleimenova heads the Department of Ensuring the Preservation of Documents and State Records, prepares plans and reports on the work of the department, comprehensive plans of the regional state archive and its branches in accordance with her area of ​​activity; carries out scientific, methodological and production activities of the department; organizes advanced training of department employees; monitors the execution of planned tasks by employees; ensures the acceptance of documents on various media for state storage; determines the need to check the availability and physical condition of documents on various media, participates in this work; determines the need for restoration, stitching, cardboarding of documents, organizes the implementation of these works; disinfects documents; monitors the transfer of inventories and documents on various media from archive warehouses to the reading room, to the reading room, to the regional state archive departments, organizations and institutions - for temporary use and their return to archive warehouses; maintains state accounting of archive funds and documents on various media, filling out all primary and secondary accounting documents; carries out control over the correct filling out of primary accounting documents in the regional state archive branches, draws up summary accounting documents.

M. S. Suleimenova is a member of the collegiate bodies of the KZTKO - the Directorate, the Expert and Inspection Commission.
