Besetaev Bauyrzhan Berkanuly (13.02.1986) - Deputy Head of Scientific-Innovative Work and International Relations of the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology, and Museology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Senior Lecturer. He was born in Ayagoz, Semey region. In 2007, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Semey State Pedagogical Institute, and in 2009, he completed his master's degree in the Faculty of History at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, defending his dissertation on the topic "The Complex of Horse Gear of the Nomads of East Kazakhstan in the Saka-Scythian Era." His scientific interests include the archaeology of the Early Iron Age (architecture, rituals, discovered valuables, religious views, the formation and development of culture, reconstructions of ritual and religious views, ethnographic continuities of archaeological artifacts, migration issues of ancient nomadic peoples of Eurasia, paleoclimatic features, preservation of archaeological monuments). For his achievements in science and education, he was awarded the "Best Young Scientist - 2021" badge by the Commonwealth of Independent States.
