Sara Toktamysova is a renowned akyn (traditional poet). She was born on March 29, 1986, in the present-day Abai, Aksuat district. In 2003, she graduated from Gymnasium School No. 5 in Semey. She graduated with honors from Semey State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in philology (2003-2008).
