Description of the monument: The burial ground of the Kunambay family is located in the Akshoky settlement of the Kaskabulak rural district in the Abai region. The first to be buried here was Khalyulla Oskenbaev (1849-1870), the son of Kunambay's wife Aiguz. In 1886, Abai's father Kunambay Oskenbaev passed away. In 1904, Abai's talented son Magauiya, as well as the poet's nephew, the first publisher of his works, Kakitai Iskakov (1869-1915), were buried here. Alongside Kunambay Qaji, the burial ground also contains Iskak, Kaktay, Smagul, Magripa, Aigerim, Abdirakhman, Magauiya, Akylbay, and Tangirberdi Kunambayuly. Izgutti Sakauuly Kunanbaev (Nuranov), the father of Mukhtar Auez, and many other relatives are also buried here. It was built from clay bricks at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries.
