The monument complex is a construction that includes a statue of a warrior against the backdrop of a stele and two memorial walls inscribed with the names of soldiers who died during the war. The grave of L. S. Konstantinov is located on the right side of the complex. At its head, a memorial plaque made of granite is installed (1.1 m × 0.5 m × 0.07 m). In the foreground of the complex, there is a statue of a warrior holding an automatic rifle in a cloak. The height of the statue is 2.86 m. The rectangular stele has a height of 6.3 m, with an image of the Order of the Patriotic War at the top and is covered with marble tiles. The walls are made of silicate bricks and decorated with marble tiles. The dimensions of the walls are: height 2.3 m, length 4.1 m, thickness 0.32 m. Granite plates (11 pieces, 0.6 m × 0.4 m) are installed on them, inscribed with the names of heroes (a total of 208 names). Flower beds are planted at the bottom. The monument area is paved with sidewalk tiles.
Historical data
Konstantinov Lavrentiy Sergeyevich (1910-1948) was born in Balman village of Kuibyshev district, Novosibirsk region. He was at the front starting from January 1942. As the commander of the automatic rifle squad of the reconnaissance company of the 22nd Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade, Guards Senior Sergeant Konstantinov was one of the first to cross the Dnieper River near Grigorovka village in Cherkasy region in September 1943. In October 1943, he, along with a group of scouts, eliminated a large group of Nazis. He was awarded the Orders of Lenin, the Red Banner, and the Order of Glory of the 3rd class. By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated January 10, 1944, L.S. Konstantinov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. After the Great Patriotic War, he lived in Kökpekti district of Semey region.
