Abai (Ibrahim) Kunanbaev Kunanbayuly (1845-1904) is a poet, educator, founder of written Kazakh literature and Kazakh literary language, philosopher, composer, translator, and political figure. Abai is a great thinker who has taken a significant place in world literature, a philosopher who called humanity to truth, good deeds, and freedom. The monument was erected on August 17, 2018, within the framework of the program article "Bolashakka bagdar: ruhani zhangyru" by the First President N. A. Nazarbayev, on the eve of the 160th anniversary of Shakarim Kudayberdyuly and the 90th anniversary of Abai District. It has the inscription "ABAI." The total height is 8.1 meters.
