Kunanbay Uskenbayuly (1804-1886) - a prominent thinker and judge of his time, the father of the great poet Abai, and a notable figure. The monument was erected on September 15, 2017, as part of the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the outstanding writer Mukhtar Omarhanuly Auezov. The height of the monument is 4.5 meters, the pedestal is 2.4 meters, the width of the pedestal is 3.5 meters, and it is in a rectangular shape. A black granite plaque with the inscription "KUNANBAY USKENBAYULY" is affixed to the pedestal. The total height is 6.9 meters. Kunanbay Uskenbayuly is depicted looking into the distance, deep in thought. He is wearing a traditional hat and a cloak over his clothing. The area where it stands measures 30 meters in length and 10 meters in width. The author is Kaliev Nurbol. The monument was erected with the funds of the "Kunanbay Kazhy Fund" and with the support of the people as part of the "Tugan Zher" program.
