The composition consists of a stele and three walls arranged in a stepped manner. On each of the walls, there are plates with portraits of poets and excerpts from their works. The walls are made of concrete and decorated with light-colored cladding boards.

The monument dedicated to the creative friendship of Great Abai, Goethe, and Lermontov was established in 1973 in the village of Karauyl. The author of the monument is Muratbek Zhanbolatuly. He was born on July 20, 1948, in the village of Karauyl, Abai District, East Kazakhstan Region.
