Omarhan (1860-1909) is the father of M. O. Auezov, born in a family of Muslim officials near the Arkhat mountain in Abai district, and he was fluent in Arabic and Russian. He brought his wife Nurjamal from Verny during a trading trip. His father, Absamat, was a relative of the Kunabai descendants. The graves of Omarhan and Nurjamal are located next to the Auezov museum building in Borili. In honor of Abai's 150th anniversary, a new gravestone made of white limestone was installed here.
